Families and loved ones

When a family member struggles with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD),
it can impact the whole household.

If you’ve found your way here, you may be struggling with the overwhelming emotions and behaviours of your loved one, unsure how to offer support while setting appropriate boundaries.

You might feel like you’re on edge, trying to avoid any action or conversation that might upset your loved one. You may spend lots of time worrying about their ability to cope with everyday life and to keep themselves safe. This uncertainty and emotional turbulence can lead to a sense of powerlessness, leaving you questioning whether you’re doing enough or handling things the right way. You may carry the weight of past decisions or actions, wondering if it would be different if you had done things in another way.

How I can support you

My approach to supporting families is centered on compassion, practicality, and understanding. I provide a space where you can voice your experiences without fear of judgment, acknowledging that your feelings and challenges are valid. Drawing from both personal and professional knowledge of BPD, I offer empathy and actionable advice tailored to the specific needs of your family.

My experience with Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and related therapies equips me with the tools to guide you in managing the emotional and behavioural challenges BPD presents.

I am here to support you, not just during the crisis moments, but through the everyday struggles that come with BPD. We’ll work together to develop strategies that help you navigate the complex family dynamics at play. I’m committed to offering you the comprehensive support that is necessary to address the unique needs of your family.

If you’re feeling lost or unsure of the next steps, know that you don’t have to go through this alone. Let’s work together to bring understanding, balance, and healing to your family life.
